Spotlight: ‘Tis the Season Christmas Anthology

I had a great time reading the ‘Tis the Season Christmas novellas published by Entangled Publishing under their Indulgence imprint, so I asked the authors to drop by the virtual offices to answer a few questions.  Check out what they had to say!

‘Tis the Season to be Kissed (Entangled Indulgence)  by  Amy Andrews

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  Santa or the Grinch?

[Amy Andrews] Definitely Santa. Love, love, love Christmas. Love the carols and the tree and the decorations and saying Merry Christmas to complete strangers in the street and I love feeling so full I’m going to die on Christmas day and that wonderful family feel to the whole holiday. Freaking love it!

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  Mistletoe or sugar plums?

[Amy Andrews] Well, now, here’s a confession. In Australia we don’t really have either of those things! But I love the idea of being kissed under the mistletoe (never been kissed under the mistletoe – sob!) But also I love that line in the T’was the Night Before Christmas poem “visions of sugar plums danced in their heads” So really….it’s too hard to decide for a girl whose used to a “tropical” Christmas!

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  Cookies or fruitcake?

[Amy Andrews] Ah, now fruitcake is something we do have! Smile Fruitcake/plum pudding always! The day is not complete without plum pudding smothered in lashings of hot custard!

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  What’s your favorite holiday memory?

[Amy Andrews] Probably too many to mention but I’m going to go with my most recent favourite memory. A few years back my hubby and two kids and my brother and his wife spent Christmas on a canal boat in England. It was snowy everywhere (my kids had never seen snow before) and the canals were partially frozen and we had the tiniest oven in the world but we called into a pub (which was open!) at 10 am in the morning and had a drink with the “locals” while our two tiny chooks cooked and it was so amazing, I’ll never forget it  and neither will the kids Smile

About ‘Tis the Season to be Kissed

A down-on-her-romantic-luck kindergarten teacher plans to drown her New Year’s Eve sorrows in a gallon of spiked eggnog, but the arrival of her best friend’s sexy brother threatens to melt the snow piling up outside the tiny Vermont cabin.

‘Tis the Season to be Tempted (Entangled Indulgence)  by Amiee Carson

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  Santa or the Grinch?

[Amiee Carson] Grinch!  Because he learns the true meaning of Christmas and turns into a hero at the end. Besides, his dog is really cute.

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  Mistletoe or sugar plums?

[Amiee Carson]  Mistletoe, because I’d rather have kisses.

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  Cookies or fruitcake?

[Amiee Carson]  Definitely cookies, preferably chocolate chip.

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  What’s your favorite holiday memory?

[Amiee Carson]  Every Christmas holiday my family climbs into our minivan and drives for three days (two thousand miles) to spend Christmas with my parents in Florida. Since my kids are all teenagers now, it’s the only time I get their undivided attention!

‘Tis the Season to Kiss Santa (Entangled Indulgence) by Kate Hardy

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  Santa or the Grinch?

[Kate Hardy] Has to be Santa!

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  Mistletoe or sugar plums?

[Kate Hardy] Mistletoe all the way for me, please :)

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  Cookies or fruitcake?

[Kate Hardy] Cookies (I’m experimenting with gingerbread reindeer, this year)

[Manga Maniac Cafe]  What’s your favorite holiday memory?

[Kate Hardy] Probably the year my daughter was four and my son was seven. He spent the day building various lego constructions, and she didn’t stop talking about her new Barbie scooter all day. (I’m glad we had a dry Christmas so her dad could teach her how to use it – though I think she would’ve dragged him out in the pouring rain because she was so desperate to try it out!) They’re both teens now and much more difficult to buy for, but I still enjoy putting together a stocking for them.

About ‘Tis the Season to Kiss Santa

With the help of a sprig of mistletoe and some snow angels, a recently single pastry chef teaches a highly successful and sexy Scrooge the true meaning of the holidays on a snowy Christmas Eve that quickly heats up.

‘Tis the Season to Get Lucky (Entangled Indulgence) by  Heidi Rice

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Santa or the Grinch?

[Heidi Rice] Santa, obviously but with a soupcon of Grinch for when I have to battle other shoppers on Christmas Eve down London’s West End (because despite all my careful planning I never, NEVER get all the freaking shopping done before then!)

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Mistletoe or sugar plums?

[Heidi Rice] Mistletoe, preferably with Henry Cavill in full Man of Steel regalia puckered up beneath it!

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Cookies or fruitcake?

[Heidi Rice] Fruitcake, generously soaked in rum.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What’s your favorite holiday memory?

[Heidi Rice] It’s a childhood memory of when my Dad told us we could NOT under any circumstances go past the alarm clock he’d put on the stairs to the living room where Santa left our presents until it said 6am. My two sisters, my brother and I all woke up at about 3.30am (as you do) and sat staring at that alarm clock for a good half an hour before my brother (because he’s always been a bit sneaky like this) whispered "Why don’t we move the hands to 6am?"… When my Dad found out he’d been woken up two hours ahead of schedule later that day he had the good grace to laugh…. And got a clock the following year that couldn’t be tampered with!
