Meet Pat Garahan from CH Admirand’s Welcome Back to Apple Grove and Giveaway!

Please welcome Pat Garahan from CH Admirand’s Welcome Back to Apple Grove to the virtual offices this morning!

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Describe yourself in five words or less.

[Pat Garahan] I’m taller than my older brother, Tommy, but shorter than our youngest brother, Johnny. Hey I’m Irish—it’s that gift of gab thing.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Can you share a typical day in the life of Pat Garahan?

[Pat Garahan] I eat, sleep, and live firefighting. I tried to give it up, but couldn’t, it’s in the blood, you know? OK, when I’m on a 24 hour shift, I leave my apartment, and spend the next 24 hours working—either on the job fighting fires, or spending time in the kitchen—I seriously love cooking for the guys, even if they don’t appreciate my finer talents—or keeping the rigs and equipment in order.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What three words come to mind when you think of Grace?

[Pat Garahan] Curvaceous. Strawberry-haired. GODDESS!

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What do you find most exasperating about her?

[Pat Garahan] She thinks she’s overweight, but she isn’t and she likes to be right, but she isn’t always. OK, well some of the times she is. But she’s not a guy and no matter how hard she tries to prove that she can do just about anything a guy can—she’s this warm-hearted, hard-headed woman, who doesn’t back down from a fight—but I love having her in my corner!

[Manga Maniac Cafe] If you could change one thing you’ve done in your life, what would it be?

[Pat Garahan] Don’t you have any easier questions, like what’s my favorite color? Man…alright, it would be to go back in time and be just one minute earlier so I could have saved that little boy in the Projects from smoke inhalation.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What’s one thing you won’t leave home without?

[Pat Garahan] My phone. My brother, Tommy, and I keep in touch that way.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What do you like to do after a hard day responding to local emergencies?

[Pat Garahan] I love a game of pickup soccer with my buddies from the firehouse and really love when we beat Dan and the guys from Apple Grove. But since I met Grace, I don’t mind spending a lot of quality time with her.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Can you share your dreams for the future in five words or less.

[Pat Garahan] Being with Grace and family—family is the glue. Sorry—it’s that gift of gab thing again. LOL!

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Thank you!

[Pat Garahan] Thanks for having me—Oh, yeah, C.H. asked me to say hi for her, she’s got her nose buried in her new trilogy for Sourcebooks right now.

About the book:

There’s No Place Like Home…

Grace Mulcahy thought she’d finally gotten Apple Grove, Ohio, out of her system. Then she’s lured back for a family barbecue and spies a broad-shouldered hottie hanging out at the grill. He somehow seems utterly at ease, whether flipping burgers or horsing around with her hellion nephews. Why didn’t her brother-in-law tell her he had such gorgeous friends? Suddenly her mouth is watering for more than her best friend’s famous pie.

Some fires aren’t meant to be fought…

When firefighter Pat Garahan sees Grace, it’s like a five-alarm bell goes off and he’s the one ablaze. She says she wants to leave Apple Grove, but he will do whatever it takes to keep her around. The life of a firefighter isn’t an easy one though, and he’ll have to prove their immediate spark can have a lasting chance at love…

@C H – You’re a new author to me, but from what I’ve read about your book and it’s a small town, I know your book is fantastic. Recently, I’ve become disabled, so I try to win the book or hope my library has the book. Would love to win. Thank you for the chance to enter this giveaway. Please enter my draw.

Hey Stephanie, good thing you can’t see how red my face is. Thanks for the compliment. And hey, a man can’t have too many friends.

Thank you so much, Barbara. I’m so glad you enjoyed reading about this book, and I know Julie’s got your name in the drawing. I’m very sorry to hear about your recent disability, but know that reading romance novels has the power to keep the readers’ spirits up because they know they will be able to get to that all-important Happily-Ever-After. I hope that is true for you, too. I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
