Meet Dan McCullum from Anne Elizabeth’s Once a Seal and Giveaway!

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Describe yourself in five words or less.

[Dan McCullum] Male. SEAL. Loyal. Dedicated. Goal-oriented.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Can you share a typical day in the life of Daniel McCullum?

[Dan McCullum] I get up for work. Kiss my wife. Drive to the Amphibious Base in Coronado, CA. I typically run ten or more miles. Go to a briefing. Work-out or go to the gun range; though oftentimes we are sent on a training mission. They tend to change things up pretty quickly. I try to shower before I go home, but my wife often gets me fresh from whatever hell I’ve been wading through.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What three words come to mind when you think of Aria?

[Dan McCullum] Beautiful! Feisty. Hard-headed and soft-hearted. Intensely loving and loyal. Mine. Yeah, that’s more than three, but she’s a complex woman.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What do you find most exasperating about her?

[Dan McCullum] She wants things to be perfect, though life is rarely like that. The world is messier with all of its unpredictableness than she wants it to be.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] If you could change one thing you’ve done in your life, what would it be?

[Dan McCullum] Nothing. I am exactly where I want to be; and how I got here is part of the lows and highs of my personal journey.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What’s one thing you won’t leave home without?

[Dan McCullum] My sense of humor.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What do you like to do when you aren’t attempting to protect national security and save your marriage at the same time?

[Dan McCullum] Surfing. Kayaking. Paddle boarding. Swimming. Getting outdoors and taking advantage of the amazing weather.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Can you share your dreams for the future in five words or less.

[Dan McCullum] A safe world.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Thank you!

About the book:

A Hero of Her Own

What woman hasn’t dreamed of what it would be like to marry a Navy SEAL? Dan McCullum is everything Aria has ever imagined—sweet, strong, and sexy as hell. She just never expected how tough the SEAL life would be. Dan could be gone at a moment’s notice and not allowed to tell her where he’s going or when he’ll be back.

Dan has never backed down from a challenge in his life. But this one is his hardest yet. How does he balance his duty to his country with a soul-deep love for Aria? It’s going to require patience, ingenuity, and some of the hottest homecomings he can dream up. Because for him, this isn’t a fling: this is forever…
