[Manga Maniac Cafe] Describe yourself in five words or less.
[Angelle Prejean] Klutzy. Loyal. Hopeful. Horrible liar
[Manga Maniac Cafe] Can you share a typical day in the life of Angelle Prejean?
[Angelle Prejean] A typical day begins serenaded by my crazy roommate. She sings this horrible, off-key wake-up song at the top of her lungs that drives me completely batty—but there’s no staying annoyed at Sherry. She’s too lovable. Then I head out for a shift at the firehouse or stables. I’m a volunteer firefighter and teach horseback riding lessons to kids, both jobs I dreamed about since I was a kid. At the end of the day, I swing by the restaurant my two best friends own and work at, Robicheaux’s, for dinner or a drink…and try my best not to stare at the tattooed, off-limits, star-of-my-every-fantasy man behind the bar. Then it’s back home and into my well-worn flannel pajamas where I watch the Hallmark channel and pretend not to think about said tattooed, off-limits bartender, who, oh yeah, happens to be my best friend’s big brother. And way way way out of my league.
[Manga Maniac Cafe] What three words come to mind when you think of Cane?
[Angelle Prejean] Confident. Sexy. Dangerous.
[Manga Maniac Cafe] What do you find most exasperating about him?
[Angelle Prejean] His confidence. The man is hot and knows it. He’s a flirt who can charm the pants off an old lady, and those dimples of his are lethal weapons.*Angelle sighs and shoves a section of hair behind her ear* Honestly? The most exasperating thing about Cane Robicheaux is his effect on me.
[Manga Maniac Cafe] If you could change one thing you’ve done in your life, what would it be?
[Angelle Prejean] The deep, heartfelt answer would be not getting in the car with my older sister seventeen years ago. That night changed everything. It defined me.
The much lighter, yet completely embarrassing answer is that I wouldn’t make up a mythical fiancé. What a mess that turned out to be. Though, that pickle does lead to an interesting outcome…
[Manga Maniac Cafe] What’s one thing you won’t leave home without?
[Angelle Prejean] Before the week in Bon Terre, the one thing I’d never leave home without was my iPod. I have this thing with making playlists….you’ll see in the book. *blushes* But since we’ve returned, I refuse to go anywhere without my bottle cap memento.
[Manga Maniac Cafe] What do you like to do when you aren’t making up fiancés?
[Angelle Prejean] Ha, well played I love dancing, in particular Cajun dancing. The dance floor is the one place I let myself go, where I don’t care about who my family is or what people expect of me. I feel at home there, losing myself in the fast-paced steps and tempo.
I also have a secret love affair with cookies.
[Manga Maniac Cafe] Can you share your dreams for the future in five words or less.
[Angelle Prejean] Passionate marriage. Courageous me.
[Manga Maniac Cafe] Thank you!
[Angelle Prejean] Thank YOU!

Angelle Prejean is in a pickle. Her family is expecting her to come home with a fiancé—a fiancé who doesn’t exist. Well, he exists, but he definitely has no idea Angelle told her mama they were engaged. Tattooed, muscled, and hotter than sin, Cane can reduce Angelle to a hot mess with one look—and leave her heart a mess if she falls for him. But when she ends up winning Cane at a charity bachelor auction, she knows just how to solve her fiancé problem.
Cane Robicheaux is no one’s prince. He doesn’t do relationships and he doesn’t fall in love. When sweet, sultry-voiced Angelle propositions him, he hopes their little game can finally get her out of his head. He doesn’t expect her to break through all his barriers. But even as Angelle burrows deeper into his heart, he knows once their seven days are up, so is their ruse.
