Meet Malachim Jerrod from Naima Simone’s Secrets and Sins: Malachim and Giveaway

Please welcome Malachim Jerrod from Naima Simone’s Secrets and Sins: Malachim.  Be sure to enter the giveaway after getting to know Malachim better.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Describe yourself in five words or less.

[Malachim Jerrod] *Snort* You’re asking an attorney to say anything in five words or less? Okay, I’ll play along. *leans back in leather office chair with fingers laced over his stomach* How about stubborn, suspicious, loyal, and the best trait of all? Able to keep my mouth shut.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Can you share a typical day in the life of Malachim Jerrod?

[Malachim Jerrod] *spreads his hands wide, palms up* I’m here at my office from morning well past dark. Working to save my ass and my law firm. *smirks* It’s a full time job.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What three words come to mind when you think of Danielle?

[Malachim Jerrod] *smile drops from his mouth* Madonna—the saint, not the singer. Brilliant. *frowns* Liar.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What do you find most exasperating about her?

[Malachim Jerrod] I guess you didn’t catch the “liar” part? *shoots out of his chair, slides hands in pants pockets, and paces to the window. Stares out.*She’s…wrapped in them—lies.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] If you could change one thing you’ve done in your life, what would it be?

[Malachim Jerrod] Let me guess. You expect me to say helping Chay, Gabe, and Rafe bury Richard Pierce’s body? *shrugs* Sorry to disappoint. Actually, the one thing I would change in my life would be not killing Richard myself.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What’s one thing you won’t leave home without?

[Malachim Jerrod] *turns from window, the half-smile back in place* My keen wit? Obviously I forgot to add “sarcastic” to the first question.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What do you like to do to unwind after a hard day at the office?

[Malachim Jerrod] Go home, read. I’m halfway through The Dark Path by Luke Romyn. Also dinner and drinks with friends at the local pub. *a genuine smile lightens his face and eyes* Although these days it’s just Chay and Rafe. Gabriel’s been kind of busy lately. Also known as “whipped”.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Can you share your dreams for the future in five words or less.

[Malachim Jerrod] *sighs and returns to his office chair. Drops in it* Another one of those? This one is easy. Getting. My. Law. License. Back.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Thank you!

[Malachim Jerrod] No problem. It’s been a…pleasure. Now if you don’t mind? I have a lot of work to get to.

[Manga Maniac Café] *mutters to self* Is it any wonder the guy only has three friends??

Looking like sin and smelling like trouble…

When Danielle Warren shows up on Boston attorney Malachim Jerrod’s doorstep looking for a job, his first thought is trouble. Well, actually his first thought is how does a woman with the face of a saint have the voice of a sex phone operator? But sexy trouble or not, he’s desperate for a paralegal to help keep his struggling law office afloat. Can the boss keep his distance from the silk of his employee’s skin, the siren lure of her body…or ignore the haunting vulnerability in her eyes.

She’s the last thing he needs…

Danielle’s name is not her own, but the new identity finally allows her to take control of her life, make her own decisions, and she refuses to allow anything—even an unwanted hunger for her new employer—to distract her. Distraction is as dangerous as the desire she spies in Malachim’s gaze and the need that renders her defenseless to his touch. But the shadowy figure stalking her every move and growing more violent by the day makes letting her guard down impossible.

But the only one he desires…

Danger is on the hunt, threatening the boss she’s falling in love with. Should she fight for the future of her dreams or flee to save Malachim’s life? Danielle must make a decision. Because her lies are unraveling. And some secrets can kill

Wow! What an interesting “interview” definitely caught my interest especially with that “burying the body” comment 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

I haven’t read Malachim yet and can’t wait too. Great giveaway!

LOL! Thanks, Erin! I can only imagine if I was the interviewer and he dropped the “burying the body” comment, I would’ve been already creeping for the door! Snicker!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have an awesome Monday!!

I found Malachim intriguing in Gabriel’s story. Looking forward to meeting him in his own! 🙂

Yay! I have to admit even as I wrote “Gabriel” I was already looking forward to writing Malachim’s story. Something about those reserved, aloof men because you know there MUST be something going on underneath. 😀 And I was right! LOL! Thanks so much for coming by, Kelly!

Malachim looks like an interesting character who has some issues to deal with.

LOL!! Exactly, Maureen! And the cool part about the book is going through the journey to his healing with him. Sigh. Have I mentioned I love him? Hee-hee!

Thanks so much for coming by, Maureen!!

I haven’t read Gabriel yet. I guess I’m a little behind, kinda like so far I think I’m first behind. 🙂
How many books are there going to be in the Secrets and Sins series?
