The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves–August 18th Edition

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba of The Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  This is a weekly meme where we can share news of the week and highlight new books received.

I’ve had two crazy weeks! Last week was the Buckeye Morgan Horse show, which was a blast.  Elle was the Reserve Champion in hand mare and Sarah rode her to a Reserve in Pleasure undersaddle.  I even had the opportunity to ride Elle in the Generation Gap class.  This class has two riders – one walk and trots the first way of the ring, and the 2nd rider walk/trot/canters.  I was little nervous because I haven’t ridden her in 6 weeks, and because I’ve never ridden her at a show. It was so much fun!  I took the walk/trot direction, and Sarah finished out the class.  We were 5th out of 13!  26 riders in one class!  Best show I have been to in a long, long time.  Pixie showed well, too; she just needs to flat walk better.  That is the goal for next year.

Yesterday, I went to a co-worker’s wedding.  Dean had to work unexpectedly, so I was on my own.  It was a lovely ceremony and the food at the reception was quite tasty.  I want to wish Anne and Erica a lifetime of happiness.

I can’t decide if I want to read All Our Yesterdays or not because I’m not normally into time travel books. I can’t wait to see what you think of it.

Knights of Sidonia looks right up my alley! I love the game plants vs zombie but I didn’t know there was a book for it. Go figure! All Our yesterdays is on my wishlist. Looks like you got some great books! Happy Reading!
