The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves–July 15 Edition and July Glam Bag

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba of The Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This is a weekly meme where we can share news of the week and highlight new books received.

I subscribed to a few sample kits last month, and promptly canceled all but one.  The Birch Box was the first that I received; it was so disappointing!  The samples were tiny and not anything that interested me.  Beauty Army took two weeks to arrive, and I actually canceled that one before I even received the first box.  A 14 day shipping window does not match my must-have-now! expectations.  Once I did get the box and eagerly peeled away all of the pretty tissue paper covering the tiny, meager samples, I was happy that I did discontinue the service.

One only subscription that I kept is  Glam Bag.  This month’s bag came 3 days after I received the ship notification, and once I opened the box, I was delighted with everything packed inside.

The theme this month is Beach Beauty.  The bag is red with colorful stripes – I really like this bag and will be adding it to my travel kit for the horse shows.

The samples include:

Yes to Cucumbers facial towelettes.  This is a pack of ten, and again will be added to my travel kit.  I just ran out of the brand I usually use, so the timing couldn’t be better.

Circus Nail Color.  I would have preferred another color beside white, but what the heck – this isn’t a color I would normally purchase, but I’m sure I’ll have fun playing with it anyway.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil Free Lotion – this is a 1 fluid ounce sample, which should give me an idea  whether I like it or not.  Some of the other sample services had such tiny, disappointing samples, but all of the Glam Bag samples to date have been generously portioned.

NUME HydroPunch Hydrating Conditioner – I love trying new hair products!

Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish – This is going in my travel kit, too.  I love the shimmery color, and it’s the perfect size to take on the go.

So, two shipments in, and I still enjoy Glam Bag.  The first shipment was a bit disappointing because I don’t normally use some of the products included in that shipment.  Everything in this bag is a winner though!  For the 10 bucks, I received a nice little package of treats.
