The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba of The Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This is a weekly meme where we can share news of the week and highlight new books received. We had a very exciting week at the barn! One of the mares had twins! This is very, very unusual, and we are all very thankful that both were born happy and healthy. They are both a good size, too. Mom, Dee Dee, is doing great! Dee Dee is Elle’s (my horse) mom, and I am still astonished that she was carrying twins. Where did they fit? I took this picture three days after they were born. Look at those legs! I love that they both have little white marks on their foreheads, too. The larger one was born first, and she is a bay. The small filly is a chestnut. If any of you are interested, I will periodically post updates as they get bigger.
She may be only a few days old, but look at this little lady fly!
Here is the happy family going out for a jog. It’s important to keep in shape with regular exercise, even when you are a horse.

My Sunday Post
@Debbie – They are very rare. There are only 67 sets ever recorded in the Morgan registry. Now there are 68
Looks like you had a wonderful week! We live across the road from a horse ranch and one of theirs had a baby a couple of weeks ago. It is so neat to watch them run around.
Thanks for sharing,

@Dani – It is amazing how long and thin their legs are at first! They look like tiny deer.
Oh the horses are beautiful! Thanks for sharing the pics! I really love Phillipa Gregory, so I am anxious to read Changeling! Great books this week

Oh, they are lovely. Congratulations!!
So adorable! Wish I could adopt a horse. I didn’t know horses could have twins. It looks like it would be pretty hard fitting even one of them inside let alone two. And it’s so amazing that only after a few days they would already be able to run. They look like little, tiny deer when they’re running. And yes, please post updates on them. I would love to watch them grow bigger and stronger.
AWWW! They’re so cute! I’m totally interested in seeing them grow. How exciting that she had twins and that they’re both so healthy!!!
@Michelle – it is very, very rare for horses to have twins. We are all excited that they are healthy. It’s amazing watching them!
@Jenni – We are excited to watch them grow. They already have very different personalities!
