May Reading Goals and April Wrap-up

In order to help myself tackle more review books, both print and digital, once a month I will be posting a list of books that I hope to read during that month.  I work more efficiently when I have a game plan, so hopefully these monthly posts will keep me focused on my goal of reading and reviewing more books, and will make my TBR not seem so intimidating.  By breaking away chunks of the TBR mountain, I can better manage my reading. In theory, anyway!

I read 14 books in April, a total that is a little disappointing for me.  I did get a lot of the books on my list knocked off, but I was very easily distracted last month, and had several books started that just didn’t hold my interest.  I was also out of the town last weekend, and didn’t get to read much at all.  I have big plans, again, for this month – Let’s see what I can accomplish.

Commercial Breaks: Famous for Thirty Seconds by P G Kain

The Marked by Inara Scott

About Last Night by Ruthie Knox

Last Real Cowboy by Donna Alward

My Fair Concubine by Jeannie Lin

Endure by Carrie Jones

Unbreak My Heat by Melissa Walker

The Midwife of Venice by Roberta Rich

Revived by Cat Patrick

When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle

Tokyo Heist by Diana Renn

Storm by Brigid Kemmerer

Wreck of the Nebula Dream by Veronica Scott

Hereafter by Tara Hudson

Arise by Tara Hudson

Blood Before Sunrise by Amanda Bonilla

Chase Me by Tamara Hogan

Most Improper Miss Sophie Valentine by Jayne Fresina

Lady Amelia’s Mess and a Half  by Samantha Grace

Monument 14 by Emmy Laybourne

What’s on your reading list for May?

Ready! Set! READ!!

Good luck with the reading plans! I do something similar. I have printed calendars for each of my blogs and try to schedule in the review books I need to read. I usually review books on Thursday and Saturday. With the number of YAs I have this month, I need to figure out other days to review books.

This May is an odd month for me because I need to fit in 13 young adult books but don’t have any adult books for review this month. That means that I can browse my TBR stack for things that might interest me on the adult side but just have to set new YA books aside until next month.

@Kathy – I need more time to tackle my TBR, but there just never seems to be enough! I have always had more books than I have the time tor read them, but for some reason, it is really starting to drive me nuts now. Good luck with your reading goals in May!

It’s interesting, a LOT of bloggers (including myself!) seemed to have a difficult month last month. I hope May is better for us all!

I’m going to try to read a few of those books on your list too. Unbreak My Heart looks really good. Happy reading!

@Pragya – Thank you! I can hardly wait to read Revived and Endure. They are next in the pile.

@Nicola – I think the arrival of spring has a lot to do with my inability to concentrate. 🙂
