Teaser Tuesday – The Quest of the Warrior Sheep & Tiger’s Curse

It’s time to share my reads again!  There are so many awesome books hitting shelves that it is hard to settle on one!  Seriously!  I can’t remember a time when I have been so torn between so many appealing books!  I wish I had Hermione’s Time Turner so I could squeeze in more reading time!

I have wanted The Quest of the Warrior Sheep by Christine & Christopher Russell since I first saw the adorable sheep on the cover.  It is a fun book, the sheep aren’t the brightest bulbs on the Christmas tree, but that doesn’t matter!  The villains are even dumber than this flock of sheep!

“The others, who had been ambling across the field, increased their speed to a gallop.  They stood around Sal, wondering what to do. Jaycey noticed a tiny cut on Sal’s head.

‘Ohmygrass!’ she exclaimed. ‘She’s bleeding.’  She wobbled on her dainty hooves and fainted.”

I just started Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck, so I will share the first two sentences.  The cover is so cool!

“The prisoner stood with his hands tied in front of him, tired, beaten, and filthy, but with a proud back befitting his royal Indian heritage. His captor, Lokesh, looked on haughtily from a lavishly carved, gilded throne.”

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
