I am most thankful to have a loving family, to have my health, and to have friends who care about me. Life really doesn’t get much better than that!
Since my parents retired to Florida, Dean and I spend a quiet day together now. We go to our favorite restaurant for their Thanksgiving buffet, then we go home and chill. It’s very relaxing, and allows us to get geared up for the holiday season. It seems like we are constantly on the go until January, so a weekend at home is a treat.

) Thanksgiving can be tough. My family has for many years now consisted of me, my sister, and our parents. No grandparents, aunts or uncles. I’m happy though. It’s hard not seeing your parents, but as long as you can be with people you care about, then all will be well.

Hopping through. My hubby and I went out to eat for the first time on Thanksgiving last year. It was fun. My mother calls it “eating with the other Thanksgiving losers.”
My Hop
Thanksgiving is my holiday. My oldest son’s birthday is right at this time so it was understood that this would be my holiday to cook and have everyone over. We usually have the traditional Thanksgiving meal. I cook the dressing that my Mom taught me how to make. I love this time of year. I’m off from work almost the whole week. Love it!!

I love that your blog name has Manga in it. I haven’t read any Manga books, but I love Manga; I’ve tried to draw a few characters here and there.
I’ve noticed that you like children’s books. Have you read any written by Kristyn Crow? I love her books; they’re a lot of fun.

I am thrilled to have found you through the hop. Thank you for stopping by my blog and bringing your blog to my attention. I have never read any manga, but my son and I were in a store recently and he was curious. I have found that graphic novels are very appealing to him, even though he loves to read traditional books and is a very eager reader. He recently read the first volume of Owly. Not manga, by a graphic novel for children. He loves the Wimpy Kid series, which has text and illustrations (I don’t think it counts as a graphic novel), but the addition of the illustrations and typography make it eye-candy for him. I can completely see the appeal. Do you know of any other graphic novels that would be appropriate for little boys? Thanks!
@Trina – How old is your son? I just read Binky the Space Cat and Binky to the Rescue – they had me laughing the entire time I was reading them!
