Ugh!  On Friday, we had a very windy day and part of one of our trees blew down.  This was not a pleasant thing to greet me on my return home from work.  Stayed home all day Saturday waiting for someone to come out with estimates, before I thought to call Dean’s brother-in-law. They do this for a living!  He came right out, and gave us a very reasonable estimate to take care of the tree that fell and a couple others that are threatening to teeter over during the next windy day.  The budget is not happy, but at least we won’t have to worry about a tree falling on the house!  Hope everyone else had a better weekend!

For Review:

The Mourning Wars by Karen Steinmetz (I can hardly wait to start reading this one!)

Museum of Thieves by Lian Tanner (this looks awesome!)

The Reinvention of Edison Thomas by Jacqueline Houtman  (This looks like a compelling read!)

The Cuter Book by Aranzi Aronzo  (This is cute! I need to find a kid to help me review it)

The Exile by Diana Gabaldon (The art looks really good!)

Baseball Heaven by Ellie Mamahara (Yeah, baseball hotties!)

Black Gate Omnibus by Yukiko Sumiyoshi  (Don’t know anything about this one, but I like the cover)

Sorry to hear about your tree troubles! We got about 10″ of rain in the last couple of days. A number of homes in town have flooded basements. I’m lucky not to have a basement and had no problems.

My mailboxes are here and here. Happy reading!

Good thing you knew someone to save you from the killer tree! You had a pretty diverse selection this week. I really want to read Soulless so I’m interested to hear your review. Happy reading!
