Remarks: This is one weird little manga. Here’s the basic story: Setsuna is a troubled lad. He gets in fights constantly, and carries a secret flame for his little sister, Sara. When a couple of demons show up and tell Setsuna he’s a reincarnated angel, he doesn’t believe them. Turns out there’s a war brewing in heaven, and poor Setsuna is going to get caught up in it whether he believes them or not.

There’s actually a lot more going on here than that brief description. This is one of those longer series that I really love. After reading this volume, I’m looking forward to the next. So far the whole incest story line isn’t a total turn off, but I know that Jen found it utterly disgusting. Maybe by the 5th volume I’ll be just as grossed out as she was.

I love Kaori Yuki’s art. It’s very detailed, and her character designs are great. Her page layouts are varied and interesting. I only wish there was some color work here. I’ll have to check out her art book the next time I’m in Borders.
