Hinata really needs to stay out of the restroom before the start of games. Every time he goes he is confronted by a player from another team. It’s a scary, scary place for him, especially when he’s fighting his pre-game nerves. This pre-game confrontation features players from several teams and was absolutely hilarious.
Karasuno’s opponent this time around is Johzenji. Johzenji’s motto is “Play harder than anybody on the court,” and they think they are party animals. Well, volleyball party animals. They have an unorthodox way of playing, and it throws Karasuno off their game. Johzenji’s players are like a bunch of individual cogs that spin around and somehow work together to get the job done. They lack discipline, though, and this occasionally trips them up. Kageyama and Hinata have a hard time getting a handle on how to play against them. When Kageyama gets hurt in the first set, they both get pulled from the game. Poor HInata – quivering on the sidelines instead of leading the charge on the court!
The game against Johzenji was fun. The illustrations were full of energy, which made the game seem even more exciting. All of the Karasuno players get to make incredible plays, which Johzenji just shrugged off.
Next up is Wakutani Minami. Wakunan is a more disciplined team. They are well prepared for the match, and aren’t fazed at all by Kageyama and Hinata’s quick set. After Daichi is dramatically injured, it looks like curtains for Karasuno! And since Daichi is one of my favorite characters, it was doubly dramatic! Poor Daichi!!!
