The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves–Sweet Treat Edition

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba of The Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  This is a weekly meme where we can share news of the week and highlight new books received.

Ugh!  I have discovered the wonders of Fro-Yo.  I have created my very own, super special frozen treat three times in the last week and a half.  We have a Menchie’s and Yogurt City very close to work, and after visiting Menchie’s (all in the name of charity, I swear!), I have been sucked back for more sweet treats.  There’s just something alluring about fashioning your own perfect cup of deliciousness, and then slowly savoring it with the colorful spoons offered at both establishments.  Good thing we got that treadmill from my brother!

I’ll be at a horse show the end of next week, so things might be a little slow here at the virtual offices for the next two weeks.

What is your favorite guilty summer treat?  I really wish I liked watermelon, because I wouldn’t feel too bad gobbling down bites of that!

I’m not really an ice cream person. I’m not really a sweets person in general. I like more salty/savory things like cheese and crackers, chips or nachos. Which is probably why I’m not a size 0. :P

I keep seeing Red Queen today! I have no idea what it’s about but based on the cover I want it! Looks like you got some great books this week even if your reading mood has shifted from cowboys to pirates. Have fun at the horse show and have a great week!

I’ve been into cherries this season. We’re been getting these awesome and huge sweet cherries and even though they are about $4 a pound, I think it’s worth it :)

@Jenea – I’m allergic to cantaloupe! I have to be very careful in the summer to avoid fruit salad, just in case there is any lurking in it!

    Thanks for stopping by!

@Kristin – I love chips and nachos, too! With salsa or cheese. I’m embarrassed by how much I can eat, too!

    Have a great day!
