The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves: It’s JUNE!

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba of The Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  This is a weekly meme where we can share news of the week and highlight new books received.

How can it be June already??  The weather finally seems to be on the upswing, and I have been enjoying walks with the dogs at the park.  They seem to like the outings as well, though Poppy is scared to death of the bull frogs serenading her.  She is not a fan of their singing.  I had been avoiding one trail because they are so loud there, but after all of the rain we’ve had, they have pretty much staked out a large swatch of the marsh trail, so she is just going to have to get used to them.  The most unpleasant result of all of the rain for me; there has been a bumper crop of mosquitoes!  I hate them!  They are particularly voracious, and I have several bites on the top of my head.  I learned my lesson after one walk, and immediately put insect repellant in my car so I always have it with me.

How have you been enjoying the spring?  Are you spending more time outdoors?  Planting flowers?  Riding your bike?

I am really looking forward to Trial by fire & Winterspell. You got a lot of great books this week!

The rain by us has brought out a bunch of knats they seem to be everywhere and we haven’t experienced the mosquitoes yet. Not looking forward to them at all.

    Enjoy all your new reads!!!
    Have a great week :)

You got several good books this week! I avoided some of those even though they looked good to me because I’ve been feeling overwhelmed again. Gotta take a step back and knock out some in my possession first.

I have been loving the weather outside too. I’m try to find excuses to spend time outside. I wish I could have stayed outside yesterday but the house was in bad shape and needed some major cleaning! Hope you have a great week!

We’ve jumped into warm temps here so it feels like summer now, finally. I really like the covers of Trial by Fire and Winterspell, and some of the other ones look good too. Happy reading this week!

You got yourself some good books this week ! Here, while yesterday was a complete warm summer day (we’ve been waiting for that kind of weather for a long time), today it’s going back to grey again. No frogs, though ;) Have a great week !

I am very curious about Trail by Fire. Epic haul this week! Mosquitoes do suck, for some reason they think I am tasty. Thankfully living in the burbs we don’t see a lot. My sister-in-law lives on the bay surrounded by pine trees and those suckers are the size of golf balls! They leave welts that are huge!

Oh I hate mosquitoes! It hasn’t gotten too bad here yet but I know it’s just a matter of time. I have the Woman Who Would Be King too! So excited to read it. I hadn’t seen the cover yet but it’s gorgeous. Glad to meet another Hatshepsut fan! Looks like you got some other great books too. Have a great week!

Ugh, mosquitoes. The only thing worse is horseflies. It’s like they enjoy tormenting you.
