The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves-Cheesecake Edition!

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba of The Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  This is a weekly meme where we can share news of the week and highlight new books received.

Had an eventful week!

The bad –

Bumble decided to eat some plastic.  I could not induce him to vomit at home, so it was off to the doggie ER.  AGAIN!  They were able to get him to toss up a towel full of plastic bits and pieces, so he’s was fine immediately after.  He’s just not too bright. Sad smile

Dean’s car broke down.  A caliper froze up, which caused other damage, which, of course, was expensive.  At least it was fixed in a day, and it broke down on our street.

The good –

Finally was able to eat at The Cheesecake Factory in Novi.  The waits are still hours long, months after their grand opening.  I went with some wonderful co-workers, and we made certain that we arrived 10 minutes before they opened – and there was still a line! We were seated relatively quickly, and everyone had a fab-o lunch!  The cheese cake was yummy, too! I got Kaluha, if you are wondering.  And, because the portions are so large, I was able to save half of everything so I could enjoy it all over again!

It was 72 degrees yesterday!  I finally have a state park pass, so Dean helped me scope out a place to walk with the dogs.  We went to Proud Lake, which is close to our house, and the take away I got is the park is HUGE!  We won’t get bored walking around there for a while!  As long as no crazy stalkers bother us (we had a incident at a local city park last year), we are set to have a lot of fun!

Nice haul, lots of interesting looking books. I have seen great reviews for Red Rising, quite tempted to get myself that one. I like the look of The Girl Who Never Was too. I hope you enjoy your books 🙂 My STS.

@Kimba – Yes, the bad could have been a lot worse. I don’t want to think about what might have happened if I hadn’t caught the little knucklehead eating something he shouldn’t have!

Oh, that sounds so yummy, is that a new shop.. the Cheesecake factory? They don’t have it here in the UK yet, but I sure would like to have it and I would be their first customer! I like the sound of What did you eat yesterday?
Have a great week and Happy Reading.

Novi has a Cheesecake factory? That’s good to know, for the next time we’re down that way. If we can get in… LOL. A tad bit popular huh? Glad your pet is OK, they don’t always make the best decisions about what to eat do they?

@Peggy – I love this place – huge portions, yummy cheesecake! The menu is 20 pages long, and they have a TON of different cheesecakes to choose from, which is hard. They also have one of the highest calorie counts for their dishes than any other restaurant, so I don’t eat there very often.

@RadIza – Thanks! The expenses could have been much worse, so I’m just not going to dwell on them anymore 🙂
