Interview with Addison Fox, Author of The Billionaire’s Demands and Giveaway

[Manga Maniac Café] Good morning, Addison!

[Addison Fox] Hi everyone! I’m excited to visit the blog today. I love talking books and writing and Julie gave me some fun questions to answer.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Describe yourself in five words or less.

[Addison Fox] Happy, Kind, Driven, Goofy, Thankful.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Can you tell us a little about The Billionaire’s Demands?

[Addison Fox] THE BILLIONAIRE’S DEMANDS is the final book in my Boardrooms & Billionaires trilogy.

Camryn McBride is the middle sister of the famous McBride Sisters. Along with older sister, Keira, and younger sister, Mayson, the three of them have brought their family magazine empire back from the brink of disaster.

Over the last year, Camryn’s seen her sisters find love and she couldn’t be happier for them. But she also knows a relationship is missing from her life. Past experiences have left her burned and she’s definitely not interested in a relationship with her sister’s husband’s half brother. Talk about messy! (And our gal Cam’s all about order and neatness.)

Booth Harrison has had his eye on Camryn for a year and while he knows their family situation can make things a bit messy, he’s not interested in waiting any longer to make his move. And oh, does this man have moves… ::sigh::

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

[Addison Fox] I truly loved these characters. Keira, Camryn and Mayson sort of came to mind fully formed and while I knew Keira and Mayson’s heroes well, Booth for Camryn was so natural and real and wonderful. He’s absolutely crazy about her and for the first time in his life has a challenge he might not overcome. I loved spending my days with them while writing this book!

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What gave you the most trouble with this story?

[Addison Fox] So did I mention Camryn kept putting up walls? <g>

While she had a reason for her push back and for wanting to keep her world neat and orderly, I admit to moments of frustration. I mean – come on!! – who wouldn’t want this man running after them??!!

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What’s one thing you won’t leave home without?

[Addison Fox] I’m pretty well-attached to my mobile phone. And of course, my large, bottomless purse. And a book. And an e-reader. And my wallet…. Yep, pretty much all that’s missing every time I go out is my kitchen sink!

[Manga Maniac Cafe] Name three things on your desk right now.

[Addison Fox] Computer, spiral notebook (about 12…yes, it’s an addiction) and my calendar.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] If you could trade places with anyone for just one day, who would you be?

[Addison Fox] Oh goodness, I can only pick one?

I’d love a day inside Michelle Obama’s shoes. I love her and think she’s so classy (and I’m short so I’d love to see life through much taller eyes!) and I think it would be fascinating to spend a day in the rarified air of DC politics.

Princess Kate, of course (also tall!), would be fun for a day.

Oh – and I’d definitely love to give it a go in Angelina Jolie’s world. Especially if it was one of her days spent in the south of France.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] What are some books that you enjoyed recently?

[Addison Fox] I always have a book in hand and read voraciously. I loved GHOST STORY by Jim Butcher. It’s part of his Harry Dresden series which I adore. Harry’s an incredible character and Butcher just sucks you into Harry’s world effortlessly.

I’m in the middle of Tracey Livesay’s new Indulgence (we’re book-birthday twins this month!) – THE TYCOON’S SOCIALITE BRIDE. Whew – sexy!

And I absolutely devoured THE WITNESS by Nora Roberts. I bought it when it first came out and somehow put it aside for much too long. I grabbed it for a flight recently and truly inhaled that one.

[Manga Maniac Cafe] How can readers connect with you?

BIO:

Despite early ambitions of being a diver, a drummer or a doctor, Addison Fox happily discovered she was more suited to life as a writer. She lives in Dallas and – thankfully – doesn’t have to operate on anyone.

About the book:

The Billionaire’s Demands

About The Billionaire’s Demands

Booth Harrison has made a habit of getting what he wants, be it a new addition to the Harrison media empire, or a better relationship with his half-brother.  But meeting his brother’s new sister-in-law, Camryn McBride, poses a new challenge.  The savvy CFO of McBride Media has a brain he wants to pick…and a body he needs to claim.

Camyrn has spent the past few years helping to rebuild her family’s magazine company, focusing on that rather than her disastrous personal life.  But when Booth Harrison invites her to be the keynote speaker at a sales conference in Hawaii, she’s tempted to combine business with pleasure.

But meeting the billionaire’s demands won’t be easy, because someone doesn’t want a merger between them to happen.

While I’m sorry to hear this is the last Boardrooms and Billionaires book, at least I still have a couple to read!
