About Impostor by Susanne Winnacker (Razorbill, May 23, 2013, $17.99 U.S.):

Tessa is a Variant, able to absorb the DNA of anyone she touches and mimic their appearance. Shunned by her family, she’s spent the last two years training with the Forces with Extraordinary Abilities, a secret branch of the FBI.

When a serial killer rocks a small town in Oregon, Tessa is given a mission: she must impersonate Madison, a local teen, to find the killer before he strikes again.

Tessa hates everything about being an impostor—the stress, the danger, the deceit—but loves playing the role of a normal girl. As Madison, she finds friends, romance, and the kind of loving family she’d do anything to keep.

Amid action, suspense, and a ticking clock, this super-human comes to a very human conclusion: even a girl who can look like anyone struggles the most with being herself.

The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves–June 9th Edition

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba of The Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  This is a weekly meme where we can share news of the week and highlight new books received.

I’m on vacation most of next week, so I’m scrambling to get caught up at work and on the blog before heading to Columbus for Morgan Gold Cup.  I hurt my back last week, so I don’t know if I’m going to be able to ride, or if I’ll have to ask my friend Laurie to help me out and show Pixie.  Elle might be staying home – haven’t decided yet what to do.  Either way, I’m still looking forward to a few days off work and having some fun with my horsey family.

On a happier note, we are supposed to have a short puppy play date this afternoon.  It’s always enjoyable watching the pups running around like crazy things.

Check out my current contests!  See the Contest Widget on the Sidebar to enter!

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews to share new additions to our library.  Click here to learn more about it.
