The Sunday Post–June 10th Edition

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba of The Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This is a weekly meme where we can share news of the week and highlight new books received.

This week I’m going to be a little whiny.  I haven’t been feeling well for a while, so I finally called and made an appointment to see the doctor.  This visit was spurred mostly by the impending horse show next week.  I have been coughing a lot and I haven’t been sleeping well, and that has made me crabby, so I thought maybe I should find out what’s going on.  I discovered that I have asthma, and now I am on all of these awful tasting inhalers and nasal sprays.  It’s amazing how much better I feel after just a few days, though I am still quite tired.  I am a bit depressed about the diagnosis, though I’m relieved to finally be feeling better.  The biggest difference so far? I can sing along with the radio without coughing and gasping for breath halfway through the songs.  I hope to get the symptoms under control quickly so I can cut back on some of these stupid inhalers!

So, my question for you this week is – If you or a family member has asthma, what are some home remedies you swear by, in addition to regular maintenance medications?
