Last book I read that knocked my socks off was The Pleasure Slave by Gena Showalter; it's onr of her backlist about a dissatisfied woman who buys a bix containing Tristain, a beautiful man cursed to be a slave by a spiteful lover. The only thing that can break the spell is true love; but if he finds his true love he'd been flung back to his planet and forced to live without her.

The last book I read that knocked my socks off was Almost A Scandal by Elizabeth Essex. It's about a girl posing as her brother aboard a naval ship and watching her come into her own and fall in love.
