The Tycoon’s Socialite Bride is a lightning quick read, and at first, I wasn’t feeling it. I didn’t like Marcus, and I thought he was a jerk, while Pamela was pretty darn near perfect. I really liked her, and sympathized with her. Her father, a retired senator, is referred to by Pamela as the Senator – never with a more endearing name. How sad is that? Since the death of her mother, Pamela can’t do anything right, at least not according to her father, who lives to keep the family name and traditions above reproach. His daughter falls far short of doing the right things, in his esteemed opinion, and he’s never shy about bringing up every shortcoming and fault he finds. Ugh. Read more

I’m just a little torn about Staking His Claim. I loved the set up – Lucy’s big brother has asked his buddy, Matt, to pick her and her friend up and drive them to NYC. When Sasha blows her off to cuddle up with her boyfriend, Lucy’s resigned to going solo – until she sees Matt. She impulsively lies and tells Matt that she’s Sasha, and that Lucy has headed off with her boyfriend. She knows that Matt would never put the moves on her if he knew who she really was, and she’s dying to get to know Matt better. When his car breaks down, forcing them to check into a motel, they give into their attraction for each other, and Lucy realizes, with a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach, that she’s made a terrible mistake. She really likes Matt, and he brings out a wild side of her she didn’t know she possessed. Once Matt realizes that he’s been duped, though, she knows that he’ll never forgive her. Read more
Let’s celebrate with Entangled as they celebrate their 2nd anniversary!!
Entangled launched in 2011 and we’re celebrating! Two years ago this February, we launched our first category imprint with Indulgence. The Marriage Bargain, one of our first releases in Indulgence, went on to be one of the top selling books of 2012 and catapulted Jennifer Probst to the USA Today and NY Times bestseller lists. Since then, we’ve grown to have six category romance imprints, as well as single title books for teens and adults in our Select, Edge, and Teen imprints, and have had multiple USA Today and NY Times bestsellers. We’re in our third year and it’s been a wild ride, and it’s just the beginning.
What better month to begin celebrating our third year than February?
Let the Drama Fest begin! And, sadly, end, in the last book of Karen Ann Hopkins’s series of forbidden love. Rose and Noah make so many poor decisions, cause so much misery for themselves, but I can’t help but hope that they find a path to happiness. Both of them have lied, acted in ways that they know is wrong, and I still sympathize with them. Their families, and Noah’s community, conspire to keep them apart, when all they long for is to be together. Because both are young and willful, they are determined to find a way to be together, even with so much opposition to their relationship. After tragedy strikes, Noah realizes that life is too short to allow his community to drive him away from Rose, and he leaves the Amish church. Will he be happy in the English world? Read more
Mr. Virile and the Girl Next Door (Entangled Indulgence)
Mr Virile and the Girl Next Door is a fun read. While I found the set up for the story weak and not very believable, I did enjoy the couple and the chemistry they created. I have a hard time believing that their agents would put their livelihoods in danger by setting them up, though. I would hope that both Holly and Dane would have more professional agents representing them! Read more
