Thanks very much for inviting me to this awesome blog today to chat about my newest release Reunited in Danger, a romantic suspense. The book takes place in my hometown of Baltimore, MD and was inspired by several different local events and local people that I’ve met during my everyday activities.

Logan is a tortured hero in Reunited in Danger. He’s a Baltimore homicide detective who carries a secret and is not big on sharing emotions. Keely, a Baltimore social worker and the woman who has owned his heart since he left her ten years ago, is the one woman he thinks he can’t have. Circumstances force them together and they try to fight their buried feelings for each other without much success.

The idea for the romance in this story occurred to me as I was working out at a gym. The woman near me was heading to the airport to pick up two children whose mother was dying and had no family members or friends to raise her children. This woman at the gym and her husband had already raised their own children, but planned to raise these little ones who had nobody else. All I could think was, “do these kids have any idea how lucky they are to have someone so nice raise and take care of them and give them a chance at a great life?”

And it made me wonder…what if two people from very similar backgrounds fell in love? But one knew the value of a loving family, and the other endured a less-than-stellar upbringing and refused to believe he was capable of love? Keely is the heroine whose mom was dying. Ben and Lillian stepped in and adopted her and provided a loving, secure home. Logan wasn’t so lucky.

Keely and Logan are childhood friends, and their feelings turn into more when they are teens. But when Logan suddenly leaves town, Keely is devastated. Ten years later, Keely’s dad—the man who saved her from a lonely life, and the man who was more like a father to Logan than his own dad—is attacked. Logan can’t stay away. He’s compelled to help. But being close to Keely, and trying to keep his feelings on lockdown, becomes harder than he could have imagined.

Keely’s upbringing taught her that life can have hardships, but love can help heal. Logan, however, thinks history is going to repeat itself and he will eventually become his abusive father. What do you think? Can children raised in difficult circumstances ever overcome that upbringing? I’d love to hear your opinion.

Thanks very much for taking time to stop by today and for letting me share Reunited in Danger with you!

Coming up with my list of top ten beaches was an absolute pleasure. So the very best in the world… I have been to each of these beaches and they have provided inspiration for several of my books!

The ocean is my inspiration… if the muse leaves me… I go for a walk on the beach and can come home and write hundreds of words.

I also love the sky… I watch clouds, sunrise, sunsets and I love those boiling cumulonimbus clouds that rise up over the ocean in the tropics in the afternoon. Sheer inspiration!

Excerpt –  Italian Affair by Annie Seaton:

They stood on the crest of the hill on the northernmost side of the village. Tom had sought directions from the bus driver, who told them to follow the road through to the other side of the little village.

“It’s magnificent.” Brianna took a deep breath and stood staring out over the sea.

Mount Stromboli lay seven miles to the north across the Tyrrhenian Sea. Clouds of smoke hung over the volcanic island, contrasting with the deep blue sky and the azure waters of the sea. From the side of the road, the hill ran steeply down to a magnificent white beach.

“Oh, I do hope we can see the water from the cottage.”

“Come on, let’s find this place and then all your questions will be answered.” Tom tugged at her hand and they walked up the steep hill.

“Are you sure he gave you the right directions?” Brianna asked, stopping and pulling a water bottle from her bag after they had climbed for another ten minutes.

“Yes, I am sure. It should be around the next bend.”

She skipped ahead of him and he smiled to himself. From a distance, she looked like a teenager with her long gangly legs and her black braid flying in the breeze as her excitement at seeing her mother’s house spurred her along.

A whitewashed villa sprawled down the hill at the end of the road. The vista of the sea formed a scenic backdrop to the waves breaking gently on the pebbled beach far below them.

“Is this it?” He strode down the hill and caught up to Brianna, who stood at a locked wrought iron gate. Tom peered over the top of the intricately scrolled metal into a paved courtyard with a small fountain in the middle. Wind chimes tinkled and the soft sound of the cascading water greeted them from inside.

“This is it. La Casa Bianca.” Tom held the key out. “The White House.”

“But…but…it’s not a cottage. It’s a lot posher than I imagined. I thought it was going to be a wee cottage.” Bianca’s hand shook as she inserted the large key Mr. Antoniolli had given them. To Tom’s surprise the gate opened noiselessly on the first turn of the key and they stepped through.

Guest Post and Excerpt: Robin Covington, Author of Playing the Part

Please welcome Robin Covington, author of Playing the Part,  to the virtual offices this morning!  She’s here to tell about yummy men with ooey-gooey insides.  After, Robin has an amazing giveaway, with a $50 gift card for the grand prize!

Heroes are like Ghiradelli Chocolate squares.

You know the ones . . . they come in those square, metallic packets. All different colors depending on the filling . . . my favorite is the bronze colored ones that contain the milk chocolate filled with creamy caramel . . . excuse me while I wipe off the drool.

I love opening the wrapper and seeing the dark chocolate—creamy but also firm – strong enough to protect the softer inside. The first bite is eye-rollingly-good. The chocolate resisting just before it gives way and the sweet, sultry caramel spreads over my tongue.

My Ghardelli chocolate square is just like my favorite kind of hero: strong on the outside but when touched with the right pressure he gives into and allows the sweetness to ooze out. And I want my hero to only be that way for me —to everyone else he’s Fort Knox—but to me he caves like that chocolate square.

My all-time favorite tough guy character with the sweet gooey center?  Zsadist from J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood. This guy was all kinds of mean, closed off and covered from head-to-toe in Teflon. Only one woman had the chance to break through his armor—Bella—and he completed the circle with his daughter Nalla. But don’t think he’s a softie and a pushover, he will take you out in a heartbeat of you threaten them.

He is my ultimate Ghirardelli Chocolate Square . . . which hero is yours?

Excerpt –  Playing the Part by Robin Covington

She was only human.

Piper looked down on the gorgeous, tousled, sexy man sprawled under her in the front seat of this way-too-small car. Mick’s eyes were dark—intense and tracking every movement she made. His chest rose in time with the harsh pants erupting from his mouth, the breaths ragged and loud in the silence stretching between them. His hands clenched in fists at his side, his body radiating the tension ricocheting around this car—he was waiting on her signal.

She gave him one.

Bypassing the temptation of his mouth, she zeroed in on the delicious expanse of his neck. The bristly stubble of his five-o’clock shadow scraped the tender inner part of her lip as she dragged her mouth over his skin, tasting the musky sweetness, the sharp tang of his arousal. Unable to help herself, she zeroed in on the pulse pounding just under his skin and took a little nip. Nothing too hard. Nothing to leave a mark. But damn, it got the reaction she wanted.

Mick snaked one hand around her waist, anchoring her against the hard, muscled expanse of his chest and the even harder bulge in his jeans. He slid the other hand up her back, tracing her spine and leaving a trail of tingly shivers in its wake before he wove his fingers into the hair at her nape. A tug, perfectly balanced between pleasure and pain, brought her mouth within kissing distance.

If he had eased into his possession of her desire, she might have second-guessed the decision to indulge in this moment, but he offered no mercy, annihilating her common sense with the destructive focus of one of his action movie roles. He was a world-class kisser, the combination of soft lips, firm strokes of tongue, and the sharp edge of his teeth all living up to the fantasies of his millions of fans.

“Let’s take this inside,” Mick murmured against her mouth.

“No. Here.” Her naughty side was coming out. She’d already checked—Mick had pulled into one of the secluded parking spots. No one would see.

Mick ceased the fevered mapping of her body, stopping just shy of her aching breasts, and Piper groaned in protest. He pulled back, his eyes dark and glittering under the meager lamplight. Full of questions. She lifted up, bracing her arms against the backseat on either side of his head.

She didn’t need to think about this. She’d made her decision. No, she needed Mick to live up to his reputation—in and out, no strings, no problems. She lowered her head, intending to restart the party.

Mick had other ideas. “If I were a good boy,” he said, “I’d point out that we’re in public.”

“We both know you aren’t that good.”

Guest Post: Rachel Carrington, Author of Extreme Measures

What If? By Rachel Carrington

My beta reader posted a comic on her Facebook page the other day which you can see below. After you read it, think about it for a second. What it that was really true? Which character would you like to be? Out of all the stories you’ve ever read, which one would you want to be immersed in forever?

I used to think I’d want to be in Emma or anything in the Regency period, but then I remembered what I know about that time period, you could put in a thimble. I think I’d like to be in a place where I could still use the knowledge I’ve learned in my 21st century life. Maybe milling around with Christine Feehan’s Carpathians? I don’t think I would mind being trapped in a world with Darius from Dark Fire as long as I got to be Tempest.

But as much fun as that sounds, I also have to remember life is a bit rough for those characters. There’s peril and drama around every corner, and that’s okay for the couple of hours it takes me to read the book. But would I want it to go on infinitely? Would you?

So if you had to choose a character’s life, whose would it be? Out of all of the lives in between the pages of millions of books, whose life would you be willing to trade yours for?

About Extreme Measures, my latest book release

Four years ago Erin’s life changed drastically. Her drug-addicted brother killed her parents, and her marriage disintegrated. Her husband, Matt, an FBI agent, had done his duty when he’d arrested Stuart, but she’d been too caught up in her own grief to allow him to help her move through the shadows of pain.

Now Matt is back, but it isn’t to attempt reconciliation. Her brother has escaped from Attica, and Erin is his next target. Matt will stop Stuart by any means necessary. But Stuart is a desperate man, and desperate men will do anything to get what they want.

Thrown together by treacherous circumstances, Matt and Erin fight a battle to stay alive and possibly figure out how to put the pieces of their destroyed lives back together again.

About Me

I started writing years ago, and my first attempt was a contemporary romance that will never see the light of day. I think I may even have thrown it away by now. It was absolutely horrific as I knew nothing about well…anything to do with writing.

After that, I started writing fantasy romances about wizards and wizards, and once those took off, I segued to paranormal romances (hello, vampires and ghosts) and romantic suspense. I also write articles for various magazines, including The Writer’s Journal, Writer’s Magazine, Writer’s Weekly, Writing for Dollars, Absolute Write, and Funds for Writers.

I’m fortunate to make my home in historical Charleston, South Carolina. Beautiful city. Beautiful people. When I’m not writing, I love to read, create videos, keep Target in business, play visitor in my city, and drink lots of coffee.

Guest Post: Kay David, Author of Texas Hold’em and Giveaway!

Please welcome special guest Kay David to the virtual offices today! Kay is here to introduce her new series, Smokin’ ACES.  After, stick around for your chance to win some extra cool earrings!

Smokin’ ACES by Kay David

TEXAS HOLD’EM is the launch book for my latest romantic suspense series,  Smokin’ ACES.   Set on the dangerous Texas-Mexico border, the trilogy, published by Entangled Suspense, features a team of undercover Texas Rangers bound by their goals but torn by their secrets. Posing as a rogue motorcycle gang, the ACES are forced to walk a very thin line between good and evil as they search for a brutal cartel lord intent on controlling anything and everyone.

The scene below features Timothy Santos, the leader of Smokin’ ACES.  In the aftermath of a bar fight, Santos and his team are growing antsy and nervous; they need to make a move soon or risk the life of a confidential informant who’s gone missing. The team is leaving the local biker bar, The Ice House.

(FYI–I named the establishment this because I went to high school in a very small town on the Texas Gulf coast. There was only one place in town, at that time, that sold ice, and we, naturally, called it The Ice House. The place doubled as a bar, and a very raunchy one at that. I’d never considered going there until my mother announced it was forbidden territory. Needless to say, my buddies and I checked it out the following weekend.

She was right.

We were dumb teenagers, but not that dumb. We left and never returned. But, oh, the shiny allure of illicitness… It never dulls.)

Only one woman can help ACES, and she’s the one woman who has vowed she’ll never have anything to do with Timothy Santos again, Sheriff Rose Renwick.  The first time they loved was disaster.  The second time could destroy her.

Santos know he must overcome Rose’s objections, but telling her the truth will hurt her even more. He can protect his team, rescue the informant, or reunite with Rose, but doing all three might kill him—or Rose.  Doing nothing could have the same result.

TEXAS HOLD’EM: Outlaw bikers, dark secrets, and hot Texas nights!

Excerpt from TEXAS HOLD’EM by Kay David for

Entangled Suspense

Some of the bikers had already pulled bottles of Jack from their saddlebags and were passing the whiskey around in the dark.  As Santos and his men walked by, they made smooching sounds and mocked him.

“Hey, cowboy, ya’ll going back to the ranch?  Better be careful now–them Harleys buck better than your skanky-ass girlfriends!”  More raucous laughter rang out. “Don’t fall off and bust your butts…”

Santos’s crew heard the same taunts every time they came to the Rio County dive and they waved them away with one-finger salutes, the other men shouting with laughter.

Mounting their motorcycles, Santos and his men pulled onto the highway and rumbled toward their home away from home, a rundown house on the edge of the county line. The cold wind rushing over Santos’s raw face helped him stay upright, his stinging arm doing the same.

Thirty minutes later, they reached the caliche road that took them the rest of the way.  Santos owned the house and the six-hundred-acre cattle ranch where it sat but for more than one reason, the name on the deed could never be traced back to him. His grandfather had turned over the property to Santos on his deathbed, the section of land in the family since Santa Anna had come and gone.

The ear-splitting roar of the Harleys echoed against the spreading mountains, a cloud of dust marking their progress. They reached the stone house after another thirty minutes and turned off their engines, the sudden silence as deep as the darkness.  The mesquite trees smelled like heaven after the smoky bar, their hollow shadows leading the men toward the windows warm with light.

Santos made it to the living room and stopped before a ratty couch where he lowered himself to the cushions, every muscle in his body crying out. He was doubly glad the ranch was so isolated; if his newfound best friends could see him right now, they would have wondered just what kind of bad-ass biker he was. Of course, if they knew the real truth, more than Santos’s reputation would be at stake.

Biker gangs and Texas Rangers didn’t normally mix.

Timothy Santos had never been the kind of man who cared about normal, though, and even if he had, it wouldn’t have stopped him now. He and his undercover team had come to Rio County to stop the violence that had taken control of west Texas-and he was there to make that happen, no matter what it took, including cutting some corners that might have made other officers uneasy.  It wouldn’t be the first time he’d broken one law to keep another one, and it wouldn’t be the last.

That was the only way to catch someone like El Brujo.

About Texas Hold ‘Em:

Part law enforcement. Part criminal. And all deliciously bad…

Working undercover as part of an elite team of Rangers disguised as the Smokin’ ACES biker gang, Timothy Santos walks the thin line between law-enforcer and law-breaker. With one of his informants missing—and possibly dead—at the hands of vicious cartel leader El Brujo, Santos will do whatever it takes to find justice. Even if it means heading to Rio County to look up his former lover…who’s not only the sheriff, but Santos’s only lead.

Rose Renwick is not happy to see Santos. In the past, their chemistry had been explosive—raw, sensual, and unforgettable—but she’d been burned. Now Santos is back in town, looking just as lethal and as irresistible as she remembered. But Santos wants something from her—and suddenly Rose’s family is in danger and her town is under attack. The only way out is to trust the one man she swore never to trust again. Ante up…

Guest Post: Tessa Bailey’s Top Ten Cop Movies and Giveaway!

Please welcome Tessa Bailey to the virtual offices!  Tessa is here to share her Top Ten Cop Movies! After, enter to win a copy of her smokin’ hot His Risk to Take!  Please check back later this morning to read my review, too!

Top 10 Cop Movies by Tessa Bailey

Hi Julie, thanks for having me! So happy I could stop by to talk about my favorite cop movies in honor of my latest book, His Risk to Take, part of my Line of Duty series for Brazen.

1. The Other Guys – Any movie starring Will Ferrell is an automatic favorite. Throw in Mark Wahlberg and you’ve got yourself a winner.

2. The Inside Man – I actually watched this movie recently as research for my series. It involved a hostage negotiation and the NYPD Emergency Services Unit, which my heroes belong to in the Line of Duty series. There’s a great twist at the end – and you gotta love Denzel J

3. End of Watch – Saw this one recently. I was more a fan of the format and originality of the film. It takes place over the course of almost a decade, focusing on two partners in the LAPD. Sweet, sad, funny.

4. Turner and Hooch – A classic. I watched this movie a zillion times growing up. A big loveable dog and Tom Hanks. It’s like an instant pick-me-up.

5. Mystic River – So dark and twisty, but it’s an incredible story. My favorite thing about this movie is the ending. Nothing is actually resolved and the bad guy doesn’t learn his lesson or face consequences. It’s scary and refreshing at the same time.

6. The Usual Suspects – Hysterical and incredibly smart – plus I love Kevin Spacey.

7. The Departed – I LOVE this movie. Such incredible acting…and God, I love me some Matt Damon. There’s just something about that Boston accent.

8. Point Break – I have memories of watching this movie on Sunday mornings with my dad. It’s almost like the movie should be classified as terrible, but you have too much fun watching it to care. And come on, you have to love Swayze.

9. Training Day – Another Denzel movie. Rookie cop gets paired with veteran who isn’t what he seems. There’s a lot of twists and turns – such a great movie.

10. The Boondock Saints – I’m kind of a fan of stories about vigilante justice and this is one of the best. Two brothers take the law into their own hands. It’s totally a classic.

Thank you, Tessa, for sharing your Top 10 cop movies with us!

Guest Post by Bec McMaster, Author of Heart of Iron

In the dark world of my steampunk London, the blue bloods of the Echelon rule the city with an iron grip, forcing their strict blood taxes on the nation and holding power with their army of metal automatons. Only a select group of humans – calling themselves Humanists – dare to defy them.

In Heart of Iron, the second book in my London Steampunk series, flirtatious debutante Lena Todd is just starting to realise that the glittering ballrooms she dreamed of as a youth are not as safe as the reality. Desperate to make some sort of difference in her world, she finds herself lured into the heart of a dangerous plot against the aristocracy.

Only one man can help her. Will Carver, the notorious Beast of Whitechapel, a verwulfen warrior who guards her brother-in-law, Blade, in the rookeries. He’s the only man she can’t twist around her little finger, and the one man she wants above all others.

One of my favourite scenes is the moment when Will realises that Lena is involved in the Humanist movement threatening London’s vicious blue blood elite. No matter how much he’s afraid to be near her, he can’t deny the protective instinct of a verwulfen male when something he cares for is threatened:

“You dropped somewhat.”

Lena froze in the doorway. Her hand went immediately to her sleeve and then she spun around, her eyes widening. “Give it to me!”

Will stood, breaking the seal and unrolling the small furl of paper. He caught just a glimpse of thick black letters before Lena tried to tug it out of his grip.

“A love letter, I’ll bet.” He turned around and pretended to read it.

A whoosh of scent enveloped him, her skirts swishing against his legs. She clutched at his shoulder, trying to drag his arm lower, her breasts crushed against the broad expanse of his back. Any attempt at reading went straight out of his head.

“What would you know of love letters?” She climbed on the stool and reached for the piece of paper. The step put her on eye level with him. Dangerously intimate. “The type of woman as would have you isn’t the type to be writing poems.”

“Don’t be so sure,” he shot back. “You’d be surprised at the type of poems they whisper in me ear.”

“Urgh. You’re despicable.”

The stool teetered and their gazes clashed. Lena shrieked and clutched at him as she fell. Will found himself with an armful of soft velvet and warm flesh, and the sound of two racing hearts.

The world slowed down. Became nothing more than the feel of her in his arms. Will stared into her eyes, then his gaze dropped, unbidden, to her lips.

Lena’s eyes widened and she made a choking noise. “Put me down.”

He could barely breathe. The hunger inside him was suddenly choking him, desperate to get out and rule his body. He knew the burning amber of his gaze was intensifying; he could almost feel the molten heat of it run through his irises as the colour changed.

Will,” she whispered. “Your eyes.”

Her breath was warm on his lips. She’d been chewing something with apple and cinnamon in it. He could scent it on her breath and suddenly he wanted to taste it.

Shoving her away, he turned, the paper crumpling in his fist. Had to get out of here. Away from the scent of her. Away from the temptation to do something she’d never forgive him for.

Maybe Blade and Honoria were right. Maybe he couldn’t be trusted?

“Will,” she whispered. “You’re shaking.”

He looked down at his hands. The tremble started there, swept all the way through him. “You were right,” he said hoarsely. “Maybe I did exert meself.”

“Perhaps I’d best go?”

It seemed some sense of self-preservation had come over her.

He nodded, struggling to hold onto himself. What the hell was wrong with him? What did it matter if she’d found… someone? Instantly the anger was back, thick and choking, a red haze threatening his vision.

You shouldn’t have come. This ain’t your world now.” The words were harsh and he’d meant them to be.

Silence. “I know. I thought you wouldn’t be here. You’re never here at midday.”

Which was why she only visited at those times.

Then why don’t you go?”

“My letter?”

Soft footsteps shuffled behind him. Her skirts brushed against his legs and then her hand slid down his arm, closing over the letter in his grip. A letter she was so desperate to regain.

There was only one reason she wouldn’t want him to see it.

Suddenly he couldn’t stop himself. He had to know, even if the answer was one he wouldn’t particularly like. Lena cried out, fighting him for it.

It tore in half and both of them staggered apart, left with a piece each. Will unrolled it, his gaze darting over the piece of paper. Not letters. Not writing. His gaze sharpened. He’d seen this before. The same bloody cipher he’d found on the men who’d fired the draining factories.

His stomach dropped. “What the hell are you doin’ with this?” he whispered, his voice filled with a cold, inexplicable dread.

Lena gave a strangled cry and darted for the door. Will grabbed her skirts almost as an aside, shock running its icy fingers down his spine. “Don’t think you’re goin’ anywhere. Not until you tell me where the bloody hell you found this!”

“I picked it up,” she lied, the bitter smell of it all over her.

Will grabbed her by the shoulder and spun her towards the stool she’d almost toppled. “Sit,” he growled, shoving her into the seat. “And explain. And if I were you, I wouldn’t dare tell me another lie.”

In the mist-shrouded streets of London’s dreaded Whitechapel district, werewolves, vampires and a clockwork army are one step away from battle…

Lena Todd is the perfect spy. Nobody suspects the flirtatious debutante could be a rebel against London’s vicious elite—not even the ruthless Will Carver, the one man she can’t twist around her little finger.

Will Carver, is more than man, he’s a verwulfen and he wants nothing to do with the dangerous beauty who drives him to the very edge of control. But when he finds Lena in possession of a coded letter, he realizes she’s in a world of trouble. To protect her, he’ll have to seduce the truth from her before it’s too late.

Deftly blends elements of steampunk and vampire romance with brilliantly successful results…darkly atmospheric and delectably sexy.”

Guest Post: My Top 10 Favorite Things by Terry Spear and Giveaway!

Please welcome Terry Spear, author of A Highland Werewolf Wedding, to the virtual offices today!  Terry is here to share her favorite things! Afterwards, you can win a copy her previous Highlander Wolf book, A Howl for a Highlander.

My Top 10 Favorite Things by Terry Spear

10. Purple flowers—In Dreaming of the Wolf, the hero, Jake, loves to take pictures of Colorado wildflowers, and one of them is purple Shasta daisies. The cover artist even kept that in mind by making a purple cover.

Lavender, lilacs, heather, and thistle filled clear glass vases in the wedding service the hero, Cearnach attends in A Highland Werewolf Wedding, and the heroine, Elaine is so impressed, she knows one day she’ll want purple flowers for her wedding, too.

9. Ancient castles—I loved the castle ruins especially. When I visited the one that is featured in A Highland Werewolf Wedding, I felt one with the ruins. It’s supposed to be one of the most haunted, and yet I felt as though I belonged there. Maybe in the way distance past, some of my Scottish ancestors had married into the family and lived there. Elaine also feels a connectedness to the castle ruins overlooking the Irish Sea. And that’s why I set the story in that forlorn, lovely place where spirits of men and women still roam.

8. Chocolate—dogs can’t eat chocolate. But since my werewolves are part human, they definitely like chocolate. But even better than straight chocolate? Haviland Thin Mints. Yum. They only come out during the Thanksgiving/Christmas season, so they’re a treat! And in A SEAL Wolf Christmas (October 2013), you’ll learn how they get the heroine in trouble.

7. Irish Cream—I’m part Irish, so I love my Irish Cream! When we were in Scotland, the ladies were trying to decide on something to drink. I said, “Irish Cream!” I know it was Scotland, but we are all part Scot and part Irish so it seemed the right thing to do.

6. Water—I love the water—lakes, ocean, the Gulf. If you’ve read Savage Hunger (the first book in my Heart of the Jaguar series), do waterfalls remind you of anything? Pools, ponds. Crystal clear aqua water is the best, but I’ll take all kinds of other types, just to be near it.

5. Forests—I live in a cornfield. When the stalks are high, it’s like a forest and as the wind rustles the cornstalks, it sounds like the pine forests I lived near in Oregon and California and Florida. I love planting trees where I am now and trying to create a forest to cool me in the hot sun. My wolves all love the forests too. They provide protection for them when they run as wolves. Cearnach and Elaine are forced to run as wolves in A Highland Werewolf Wedding, and woods help to protect them while they try to reach shelter. Taking hikes in the woods is something that I love doing.

4. Writing—of course! I LOVE creating new stories. I think about stories all the time. It’s fun bringing characters and their troubles to life, giving them a romantic to-die for interest, and a happily-ever-after.

3. Creating teddy bears—I started making them about 20 years ago and they were featured in magazines and won awards. Like characters in a book, the bears each have their own unique personality.

2. Photography—I love taking pictures of flora and fauna. I could never paint pictures as much as I’d love to, and so for me, photography is a way of capturing beautiful images in all their glory forever.

1. READING—I’m as addicted to writing as I am to reading!!! If I can’t write for a day, I’m in withdrawal. The same with reading!!! I now have a Nook, but the last plane trip I took where I didn’t bring enough books to read, I had to stop in an airport gift shop and stock up!

Thank you, Terry, for sharing your favorite things!!

About the book:

On The Run…

After werewolves Elaine Hawthorn and Cearnach MacNeill almost have a head-on collision on a foggy Highland road, they’re pretty well stuck with each other. It’ll be hours before anyone can get there to pull his car out of the ditch and they both have better places to be.

And Nowhere to Hide From Each Other…

The sexy little American brings out all of Cearnach’s big bag protective instincts. If she thought she was in trouble before, Elaine has no idea what kind of complications a hot Scot can cause…
