There they banded together to keep order among a bunch of drunks and druggies. And after they made bail, they went out for beers. During the night, they’d recognized each other’s strengths and decided to form the Rockfort Security Agency. Jack is a former Navy Seal. Shane was an Army MP. And Max Lyon is a former Baltimore City Police Detective. They each brought their special skills to the detective agency located in Rockville, Maryland, outside Washington, DC. (Hence the Rockfort name.)

Before Julian Fortescue unexpectedly inherited the title of Duke of Denford, he had a single manservant who doesn’t appear in any of my books but whose name is Cumberbatch. (And if you wonder why I just picked that name you are right.) Once he came into both title and money he had to hire a lot more staff for Fortescue House in London and they aren’t all happy.

Oo la la dites donc, Monsieur le duc does not appreciate the genius of Albert. The keetchen she is filthy like a peeg sty and the other servants are idiots.

Note: Monsieur Albert quickly departs after a brief appearance in The Duke of Dark Desires. The kitchen becomes more hygienic.
